Fentanyl Addiction
What is Fentanyl Addiction?
Fentanyl is an opioid drug typically prescribed for more severe pain. However, the drug is approximately 50-100 times more potent than morphine, making the risk of overdose and addiction greater. Additionally, people often synthetically create fentanyl in illegal drug labs, which increases the likelihood of addiction even further. In fact, fentanyl is now the most common drug found in overdose cases in the United States. If you or someone you love suffers from a fentanyl addiction, a fentanyl addiction rehab can help.
At Paramount Rehab Center, we understand that every client is different. We offer a range of treatment options that we tailor to the specific needs of each client, so that they can get the best possible care for their addiction. It doesn’t matter what the drug is or how long the addiction has gone on – we will work with you to find a treatment plan that fits your needs.
Recognizing an Fentanyl Addiction
Recognizing the symptoms of an opioid addiction is critical to getting treatment. Addiction is a treatable, chronic medical condition involving complex interactions between brain circuits, genetics, environment, and life experiences. Individuals with addiction engage in uncontrollable substance use and continue despite the harmful consequences. If you or someone you know is displaying signs of an opioid addiction, don’t hesitate to reach out for help. With proper treatment, addiction is a manageable condition that doesn’t have to control your life.
According to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders, 5th edition, you may have a fentanyl addiction if you experience two or more of a set of symptoms. These symptoms are used by clinicians who are trained to diagnose individuals with opioid use disorders and other substance use disorders.
Fentanyl Addiction Treatment Programs
Choosing Paramount Rehab Center as the place to recover from fentanyl abuse is a great decision. The experienced and dedicated staff will be with residents every step of the way, offering help and support whenever it’s needed. There are many different types of treatment available at Paramount Rehab Center, and each resident’s treatment plan is personalized to their individual needs. Some of the treatments available include:
Detox services
Residents who come to our addiction treatment center physically dependent on a substance, such as fentanyl, may require detox services at the start of their care. When this is the case, we assist the men and women who come to Paramount Rehab center by referring them to the other facilities which offer detox services. If they are able to during detox, or once residents have finished detox services, they are welcome to participate in the programming offered at our residential rehab center.
Individual therapy
Our individual therapy sessions are designed to give each resident the attention they need to recover from an addiction to fentanyl. Each week, residents meet with their assigned case manager to discuss their goals, process their experiences in treatment, and work through any emotions they are having. Additionally, residents can meet with case managers for individual support on a daily basis if they require it.
Family Program
At Paramount Rehab Center, we believe that family involvement is crucial when a person is working to recover from fentanyl abuse. We offer an invaluable family program that meets on two consecutive Saturdays each month. This program provides education opportunities that inform loved ones about addiction and chemical dependency, the recovery process, and recovering from codependency. Process groups are also available so that family members and friends can share their stories, process their feelings, and learn about their experiences with their loved ones in treatment.
Group Therapy
Paramount Rehab Centers offer a variety of group therapy opportunities, including relapse prevention groups, psychoeducation groups, and 12-Step groups. We believe that residents can benefit greatly from the support of others who have gone through similar challenges with addiction, and we are happy to provide forums in which they can offer and receive that support.
